Serial Bank Robbery Suspect
Hits Again;
Police Hope Surveillance Photos Help Identify Suspect
Peoria Police Detectives
are asking for the public’s help in identifying a bank robbery
suspect caught on surveillance camera. Police believe the man is one
of two suspects responsible for a series of other recent bank
robberies across the Valley.
The suspect entered a Safeway located at 12320 N. 83rd Avenue at
approximately 12:55pm on May 3, 2005. He approached the teller at
the US Bank branch located inside the store and produced a note
ordering him to hand over all large bills. The teller complied. The
suspect then placed the cash inside a backpack, and then left the
store with an undisclosed amount of money.
Witnesses were not able to get a vehicle description, but the
suspect’s face was captured by a surveillance camera. He is
described as a black male, 20-25 years of age, 5’8” – 5’9” tall,
weighing 140-150 pounds. He has short black hair, dark eyes, a large
lower lip and a slender build. He was wearing a white colored
wristband on his left wrist and was carrying a black backpack.
