Signs of Growth;
Peoria Police Department Hires 18 since January
The Peoria Police Department is proud
welcome 18 new employees since the beginning of this year. Those
hires include six new Officers, four Police Recruits, three Police
Services Officers, three Communication Specialists for Dispatch, a
Public Information Officer and a Training Specialist.
Having these positions filled will enable the Police Department to
become even more pro-active in its operation and to increase its
focus in areas such as community policing.
Chief David Leonardo said he is pleased to have these vacancies
filled. “These positions will play a critical role in helping us to
meet the demands of a rapidly growing Peoria.”
