Fraudulent fund raising effort for Officer Bill
Weigt The Peoria Police Department received a call from a resident of north Peoria on May 9th stating she had received a donation solicitation letter for the injured Peoria Police Officer with a return address in Florida. The Peoria Police Department neither participates nor endorses these types of solicitations by mail, and advises citizens to verify the requesting organization before making contributions of any kind. |
