PEORIA OFFICERS CATCH COPPER THIEVES IN THE ACT Suspect information: Bonnie L. Slone, W/F DOB: 05-09-71 Scott L. Slone, W/M, 06-05-71 Both residents of Phoenix Both booked at MCSO on: Burglary 3rd degree Criminal Damage Possession of burglary tools Suspect vehicle: 1978 Chevrolet pick-up truck, red over silver with white camper shell On March 20, 2006 at about 2:00 AM Peoria Police patrol officers found the two suspects next to the condos under construction at 8000 W. Paradise Lane. They were wearing dark clothing and had numerous burglary tools in their possession. A large amount of copper wiring, copper fittings and tools were taken from the construction site trailer and were in the process of being loaded into a pick-up truck. The value of the items they were attempting to take is approximately $3,500.00.
