Suspect #2- H/M, 510, 190, Brown hair, White Baseball hat, Black Tee, Blue Jeans, heavy build. On March 12, 2007 at about 10:45 am in the area of 9300 W. Pontiac, the victim had just taken a shower in her residence when she went into the living room and found the listed suspects standing there. They startled each other and the suspects immediately left the residence. The victim did not know the suspects and it appeared they had walked in through the open rear door. The suspects left the house and exited out of the open garage. This incident is a strong reminder on the importance of keeping the doors and windows to your house locked, even if home. With the doors being unlocked they provide easy access to your home. Below are some easy ways to secure your house and at the same time let the fresh air in: • On the exterior entrances, have security doors installed with double key locks. This way you can lock your house up and let the fresh air in. You can even get security door that will cover the open for your sliding glass doors. • For windows, use a track lock or dowel rod in the track so the window can be opened enough to let the fresh air in but keep the bad guys out. • Keep gates to the back yard locked. We don’t want you to feel you are a prisoner in your own home but the realty is burglars look for an easy target and if your doors and windows are open or unlocked you are the house they will hit! The last thing we want is for you to loose the possessions you and your family have worked so hard to obtain or even worse get assaulted or killed by an intruder. ### |
