Thieves Hit Construction Sites in North Peoria
Construction sites located in north Peoria have been the target of over 60 thefts involving brass water meters, copper pipe and backflow devices resulting in losses of over $40,000 to the developers and the City of Peoria. The crimes occur after the job site closes for the day and the early morning hours. The hardest hit area is the Sonoran Mountain Ranch community at the far north end of 67th Avenue. We currently have no suspect information so we are asking anyone with information regarding these thefts to call the Peoria Police Department Tip Hotline at 623-773-7045 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS. We also ask that if anyone sees items being removed, especially after work hours, please call the police immediately. ### |
