Scott Lekan, a sixteen-year veteran of law enforcement service, currently serves as the Support Division Commander. He is a graduate from Cactus High School, received his Bachelor of Science from Northern Arizona University in 1990, and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree that he received from California Pacific University. Commander Lekan completed the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University in 2005. With the Peoria Police Department, Commander Lekan has worked in Patrol, excelled as the Special Assignments Unit Lieutenant, and was most recently in command of the Staff Services Division. Commander Lekan has assisted several outside agencies with on-site CALEA assessments. In his previous department, nearly twelve years with the Glendale Police Department, he worked in a variety of different assignments, which included Patrol, Criminal Investigations and Administration. He received numerous commendations during his tenure and was the recipient of their Life Saving Award, Excellence Award, and Chief’s Award for his demonstrated excellence and professionalism. |
