Race to Benefit Police Explorers
Saturday, Dec. 1 beginning 7 a.m. at Rio Vista Recreational Center

The city of Peoria and several local companies have teamed up to organize a race to benefit the Peoria Police Department's Explorers Program, Saturday, Dec. 1 beginning 7 a.m. at Rio Vista Recreational Center, 8866 West Thunderbird Road. For kids and young adults between the ages of 14 and 20 years old, the program allows attendees to consider a career in law enforcement, participate in community service events, and to become involved citizens. The money raised from this race will be used to fund the Explorer Competitions and other events.
