Public Invited to Learn About Northern Parkway Project

The city of Peoria and Maricopa County Department of Transportation are hosting an open house on Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. in the Peoria Pines Club House, 8411 N. 107th Avenue, for the public to learn more about the Northern Parkway project. The ultimate configuration will consist of: six travel lanes (three in each direction plus a center median); grade-separated overpasses to enhance traffic flow at Sarival Avenue, Reems, Litchfield, Dysart, and El Mirage roads, 93rd (west ramps), 91st (east ramps), 83rd and 75th avenues; and grade-separated underpass at 103rd Avenue. Overpasses also will cross the BNSF Railroad at 143rd, 99th and 97th avenues. Major bridges will cross the Agua Fria and New rivers, US60/Grand Avenue, BNSF Railroad and a bypass bridge will cross over Loop101. For more information about the meeting, call 623-773-7538.
