Peoria Diamond Club to Honor Volunteers
The Peoria Diamond Club will have their 19th Annual Spring Award Celebration on Friday, March 30 from noon to 2:00 p.m. More than 350 volunteers and guests will be attending.

The Peoria Diamond Club will have their 19th Annual Spring Award Celebration on
Friday, March 30 from noon to 2:00 p.m. More than 350 volunteers and guests will
be attending.
The Mardis Gras themed awards event will celebrate the volunteers who have
helped make the 2012 Spring Training season at the Peoria Sports Complex
success.
The Peoria Diamond Club recognizes 5, 10 and 15 year members and present awards
to the area Captains. Other recognitions include Volunteer of the Year, Rookie
of the Year and Mel Webber Leadership Award.
City of Peoria leaders will address the volunteers regarding the 20 year
agreement renewal with the two teams who call the Peoria Sports Complex their
Spring Training home, the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. There will be
Mardi Gras music and dancers presented by Applause Entertainment to close the
event and lunch will be provided by Texas Road House.
The Peoria Diamond Club is a non-profit organization whose volunteers
participate in the daily operation of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres
Spring Training at the Peoria Sports Complex in Peoria, Arizona. Proceeds from
the Peoria Diamond Club Charity Game, along with revenues generated throughout
Spring Training, are donated to local community youth programs through the PDC’s
highly successful grant program.
