Time Capsule Buried in Centennial Plaza
Marks the Last of City Planned Centennial Events

The city of Peoria celebrated the state’s Centennial with five events over the past year, culminating in the dedication of Centennial Plaza on February 4. As part of these celebrations, a time capsule was created to help capture the heritage and history of both the city of Peoria and the State of Arizona. On Monday, March 26, elected officials and city staff gathered at the entrance of the Centennial Plaza Decades Walk where a special ceremony to celebrate and view the burial of the Centennial Plaza Time Capsule took place.
