PEORIA, Ariz. (February 10, 2012)The city of Peoria's Economic Development
Services department recently launched their new Business and Real Estate
Development Website. This new informational resource will give the department
additional tools to attract businesses to the city. The website,
www.peoriaed.com, has a similar look and feel to the newly revamped city of
Peoria website, www.peoriaaz.gov. Both sites were designed by Atlas Advertising
in Denver, Colorado. Atlas Advertising is nationally recognized for their
economic development website designs.
"This new site provides easy navigation and interactive tools that businesses
need, and want, when first looking at a city to relocate to," said Scott Whyte,
director of Economic Development Services.
The site features clear navigation with user-friendly interfaces. Like Peoria's
city website, the ED site has bold colors and visuals, highlighting the
community's natural beauty of the desert and Lake Pleasant, located in north
Peoria, as well as the city's architectural identity.
"A great site is often a first impression, and many times, a city only gets one
opportunity with a company wanting to move or open in a new city. We have a
great site,"said Whyte.
In addition to the compelling visual aspects of the site, it features a fully
integrated property and business GIS (geographic information systems) search
feature, allowing for individuals to find an available property, including
photographs. The site also provides social media integration and maps for quick
location referencing.
The home page caters to new and existing businesses, and offers updated data
downloads focused toward site selectors and economic development professionals
who are actively seeking locations for new and existing business relocations.
