Bike Safety Rodeo Teaches Riding Skills, Provides Helmets

This annual tradition has
returned to the Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N. 83rd Avenue, on
Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorcycle officers and trained
technicians will inspect bicycles, provide personalized education and assist
children as they ride their bikes through a challenging but fun skills course.
Kids who bring their own bicycle but do not own a helmet will be provided a free
helmet (while supplies last); can have their pictures taken on a police
motorcycle, in a police car, fire truck or in a SWAT truck. Free inflatable
bouncers and free lunch for the family. Plus, several new bicycles will be
