Gingerbread House Competition Returns to City Hall
Grand Prizes and Display until Dec. 23

The city of Peoria is once again hosting the 20th Annual Gingerbread House Competition. The event is free to enter, and houses must be dropped off at City Hall Main Lobby between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. through Dec. 12. The two categories are: the Mini House - must be on a sturdy surface no bigger than 12” X 12” and built around an eight ounce milk carton; and the Large House - must be on a sturdy surface no larger than 30” X 30” and all visible materials must be edible. Judging will be on Dec. 13 with awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, along with a $100 grand prize for the best overall Mini and Large houses.
