Interim Planning Director Made Permanent
City Council Confirms Appointed at Nov. 1 Meeting

After six months on the job as interim director, Chris Jacques was confirmed as planning director at last week’s Peoria City Council meeting. Jacques has worked for the city since 1999 in various roles, including planner and planning manager. He was assigned the interim post in April when previous director Glen Van Nimwegan elected to participate in the voluntary severance program. Jacques lives in the metro area with his wife and two children.
