Programs at Libraries Satisfy the Mind, Stomach

Peoria public libraries have programs to satisfy the hungry mind and body. Sunrise Mountain library patrons can learn how to get audio books, music, movies, and eBooks from the Greater Phoenix Digital Library on to a Kindle or other eBook readers, mp3 player, or smart phone. Monday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. Registration required; call 623-773-8650. Main library will host a pumpkin pie-eating contest on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. The winner will receive a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card. Registration is required; call 623-773-7556.
