Over 3,400 Jobs Openings at “Meet Your Next Employer”
The “Meet Your Next Employer” regional job fair on Wednesday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is expecting more than 2,500 job seekers. Being held at the Peoria Sports Complex, there will be over 60 businesses representing more than 3,400 open positions

PEORIA, Ariz. (October 10, 2011) – The “Meet Your Next Employer” regional job fair on Wednesday, October 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. is expecting more than 2,500 job seekers. Being held at the Peoria Sports Complex, there will be over 60 businesses representing more than 3,400 open positions. This is a great opportunity for job seekers to get in front of businesses that are hiring. And there is still time for businesses that have current employment opportunities to secure a FREE booth at the event. Admission for employment-seeking attendees is FREE and don’t forget to bring your resumes.

Hosted by the City of Peoria’s Economic Development Services in partnership with the City of Avondale, Glendale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Peoria, Phoenix, Surprise, Tolleson and the Town of Buckeye the job fair is comprised of employers from the Phoenix Metropolitan area that are looking for employees to fill positions in their companies. There will be unique opportunities for job seekers including one-on-one conversations with prospective employers, mini workshops including “Interviewing Skills” by Maricopa Workforce Connections, “Dress for Success on a Dime” presentation by Goodwill and “Resume Writing Tips” by Glendale Community College.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Small Business Association (SBA), Greater Phoenix SCORE and the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) will also be on hand to discuss how to take those first steps in opening up a small business.
