Opportunity for Businesses to Meet New Employees
“Meet Your Next Employer” Regional Job Fair offers special classes and programs
to attract prospective employees.
PEORIA, Ariz. (September 14, 2011) – There is still time for businesses that
have current employment opportunities to secure a FREE or discounted booth at
the upcoming “Meet Your Next Employer” regional job fair. Hosted by the City of
Peoria’s Economic Development Services in partnership with all West Valley
cities, the job fair will be held at the Peoria Sports Complex on October 12
from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission for employment-seeking attendees is free.
“We are expecting more than 2,500 people at our job fair,” said Debbie Pearson,
business development specialist for Peoria. “This is an excellent opportunity
for a business, large or small, to find talented and skilled employees. These
people want to work, and we think our event is where they can meet their next
employer.”
This regional event will be comprised of employers from the Phoenix Metropolitan
area that are looking for employees to fill positions in their companies. There
will be unique opportunities for job seekers including one-on-one conversations
with prospective employers, skills assessment and mini workshops by Maricopa
Workforce Connections, a “Dress for Success on a Dime” presentation by Goodwill
and resume writing tips by Glendale Community College.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Small Business Association (SBA),
Greater Phoenix SCORE and the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) will also be on
hand to discuss how to take those first steps in opening up a small business.
This event affords a range of opportunities for Sponsors and Exhibitors in
exchange for various business development and marketing benefits. There are
unique opportunities to address the entire event crowd and get exposure on the
