Peoria Employees Donate Nearly $1,000 in School Supplies
Frontier Elementary School Randomly Selected As Recipient

On Aug. 23, city of Peoria employees delivered a truck full of donated school supplies, worth approximately $1,000, to Frontier Elementary School. For the third year in a row, employees collected school supplies to give to a randomly-chosen Peoria elementary school. The school supply drive was started as a teambuilding activity in the Finance Department but quickly spread to other city departments. Soon, children of employees also were pitching in using their own allowance to purchase supplies to donate. Employees plan on continuing this successful campaign every school year, and hope to increase the amount of donated supplies.
