“Meet Your Next Employer” regional job fair

West Valley cities come together to help people find jobs.

 

Peoria, Ariz. (August 18, 2011) – West Valley cities often work together to build new roads, attract major events, or join hands on legislative stands. Now, the West Valley is hosting a regional job fair called “Meet Your Next Employer.” Hosted by the city of Peoria’s Economic Development Services, the job fair will be held at the Peoria Sports Complex on October 12 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.  Admission for employment-seeking attendees is free and the first 500 people will receive a complimentary ballpark lunch.

 

This regional event will be comprised of employers from the Phoenix Metropolitan area that are looking for employees to fill positions in their companies.  There will be opportunities in all industries for the attendee to explore, audience-wide presentations and one-on-one conversations between employers and prospective employees.  In addition, Workforce Connections will be available for a skills assessment and to assist the job seeker in determining possible career paths. 

 

In this rough economy many people that have been laid off are exploring the possibilities of opening small businesses.  The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will be on site to discuss how to take those first steps in opening up a small business. 

 

This event affords a range of opportunities for Sponsors and Exhibitors in exchange for various business development and marketing benefits.  There are unique opportunities to address the entire event crows and get some exposure on the ballpark big screen!
