Beginning this week and continuing through early August 2011, the
"common area" located on the northwest corner of the Loop 101 (Agua Fria
Freeway) and Olive Avenue will be closed while the Arizona Department of
Transportation (ADOT) and Salt River Project (SRP) relocate utilities in
conjunction with the sound wall construction project at Loop 101 and Olive
Avenue. The common area (park/playground) is located at approximately 92nd
Way and Caron Circle in Springer Ranch.
-
Crews will remove
a section of the existing wall adjacent to the Olive Avenue off-ramp, as well as
a section of the sidewalk and the fence/gate at the entrance to the common area
at 92nd Way and Caron Circle. This is necessary to relocate the SRP conduit.
-
Temporary fencing
will be installed while this work is underway.
-
Crews are
scheduled to work 8-10 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, beginning at 6 a.m.
-
For your own
safety and that of work crews, please do not enter this work zone at any
time. The common area is scheduled to re-open during the first or second week of
August 2011.
