City Starts Upgrading Osuna Park in Oldtown

Work is under way on a
$1.6 million renovation of Osuna Park, the gateway to Oldtown Peoria.
Improvements planned for the park – bordered by Grand Avenue to the north, 83rd
Avenue to the east, Washington Street to the south and the Peoria Center for the
Performing Arts on the west – will double its size and add a circular staging
area for outdoor activities, restrooms, public art and a rose garden to
acknowledge Peoria’s rich agricultural history. The goal is to complete the
upgrades in time for Peoria’s end-of-the-year Holiday Festival in Oldtown. For
