City Makes Free Retrofit Kits Available to Water Customers

Peoria offers free Retrofit Kits to utility customers interested in reducing water usage in their homes. The kits include shower heads; bath and sink aerators; toilet displacement bags and fill-cycle clamps; leak-detecting dye tablets; and Teflon tape. To be eligible for a kit, one must be an individual city water customer, live in a single-family house built before 1990 and have plumbing fixtures that have not been updated to today’s water-efficiency standards.
