Feds Schedule Public Meeting on SR-74 Power-Line Proposal

The federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a public meeting Thursday, April 28, to obtain community input on a proposed APS power line across northern Peoria. It has been nearly two years since the Arizona Corporation Commission approved a route along the north side of State Route 74 – a path that would cross BLM land. The purpose of the April 28 meeting – to be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Peoria Community Center, 8335 W. Jefferson St. – is to determine issues that will influence the scope of the environmental analysis (including alternatives) and guide the process for developing an environmental impact statement.
