Off-the-Couch Fit Club Gives Kids Reasons to Exercise

Rio Vista Recreation Center and Universal Athletic sponsor a year-round fitness program for kids ages 8-12. The Off-the-Couch Fit Club provides a variety of classes and events to give kids ongoing fitness options. Thanks to community sponsors, a variety of incentive prizes are awarded as kids progress through the program. An orientation is held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The program is free with a Rio Vista pass, which is just $15 a month for Peoria youth and $20 a month for non-resident youth.
