Professional Group Honors Peoria Deputy City Manager

Deputy City Manager Susan Thorpe has received the Catherine F. Connolly Outstanding City/County Manager Award from the Arizona City/County Management Association. The award recognizes an assistant city or county manager who has demonstrated exemplary service to his or her organization, the community, local government and the ACMA. In addition to her Peoria duties, Thorpe is on the host committee for the 2012 International City/County Management Association conference in Phoenix. Peoria City Manager Carl Swenson says the award is well-deserved: “Susan’s hard work and professionalism are a tribute to the city of Peoria and the ACMA.”
