Bridge Repairs to Block Peoria Avenue
Work on Two Weekends in February Also Will Interrupt New River Trail

The Peoria Avenue bridge over New River will be closed the third and fourth weekends in February (2/18 – 2/21 and 2/25 – 2/28) for routine maintenance. A city contractor will replace bearing pads and joint seals. The bearing pads provide support between the bridge pier and the bridge deck. The closures will begin each weekend at 9 p.m. Friday and the road will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday. In addition, people will be unable to use the New River Trail under the bridge or the sidewalk on the bridge.
