Police Host Jan. 29 Bike-Safety Rodeo at Sports Complex
The Peoria Police Department, with funding from the AZ Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, will be hosting its first Bicycle Safety Rodeo for kids ages 5-12 on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Peoria Sports Complex. Motorcycle officers will inspect bicycles, provide personalized education and will be assisting children as they ride their bikes through riding patterns. Kids who bring their own bicycle will be given a free helmet (while supplies last). Several displays will be set up, including the opportunity for kids to take pictures wearing police gear on a police motorcycle or in a police car, inflatables and vendors. A free raffle will be held to give away several brand new bicycles. For additional info, please contact the Peoria Police Department at 623-773-7096.
