Kick off a new tradition with the first running of the City of Peoria Halloween Marathon.  Get your holiday season kicked off with a challenge.  Taking place on the New River Trail, the course will allow runner to complete the entire run without crossing traffic, jumping onto sidewalks, or worrying about cars!

Along with race prizes, prizes will be given for best costumn in both Adult and Youth categories!

Race Day Info for the Peoria Marathon/Half Marathon/4 Mile/1 Mile (Kid’s) race

Location: Rio Vista Community Park à 8866 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ 85381 (Race check-in will take place near the group ramadas, closest to the playground area at Rio Vista Community Park. )

When: Saturday, October 26th, 2013 – Check-In begins at 7AM, Race starts at 8AM

Packet Pick up with be held at our partner’s store - Tortoise and Hare Sports , on Friday, October 25th, 2013 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. (If you cannot make it to packet pick up, you may pick up your packet the morning of the race. Registration starts at 7am).


· Our marathon course has recently changed and will be 2 LAPS of the half marathon course, all of which takes place on a trail system away from traffic! You can view the course here.

(Both the Full and Half will double back on the same path. Please stay aware of each other and of course, cheer one another on!)

· Our 4 mile course is a basic loop. http://www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=501104

· And our Kids’ Race will also be a one mile turn around (will go out a half mile out & come back half mile)

· Water stations are placed every 2-3 miles on the half marathon and marathon course, with most serving as double water stations, meaning you will pass the same one more than once).

Awards: We will award all finishers of the Full and Half Marathon with Finisher’s Medals, as well as top 3 in each age group. The 4 mile will be awarded for the top 3 finishers in each age group, and all kid’s race participants will receive a finisher’s medal.
