PEDDLERS/SOLICITORS APPLICATION CHECKLIST
(All items must be completed before application and fees can be accepted)

All forms must be printed to paper and signed.

Description: Any person operating as a solicitor, peddler, hawker, salesman or vendor of goods, wares, merchandise, newspapers, magazines or services, who goes from house to house, or to only one (1) house, in the city, shall register with the police department and obtain an identification card showing such registration. (Code 1977, § 9-1-1
Fees: Non-refundable application fee $167.00 includes the following: Peddler License fee $75.00, Annual Background Check fee $22.00, Planning & Zoning fee $20.00 Privilege/Use Tax License fee $50.00.

2.  Zoning Clearance form (if located in City limits)

3.   Police ID Application form 

4.  Vendor Licensing Background Checklist form

5.  Fingerprint Card (obtained from independent fingerprinting agency - call business to verify it continues to provide)

6.  ID Card with thumb print & signature (obtained at City cashier window)

7.  Two photos (passport size - can be obtained at Walgreens or CVS pharmacies)

8. Two forms of ID, at least one being a picture ID

9. Arizona Workers Act Compliance guidelines (1)

(1)A business ownership that is considered to be an individual, sole proprietor, husband/wife, partnership must comply with the guideline per State of Arizona statute.   A corporation, LLC, etc. is not considered to be an individual.

Your completed Application packet will be processed by: 

1.  Peoria Tax and Licensing Division
2.  Peoria Police Depatment

The approval / denial timeline not to exceed 120 days from the time the application is accepted by the City.

Upon approval, the license will be  issued to the company; individual peddlers only will receive a photo identification badge.
