Register for the Father's Day 4 Mile Run & the Peoria Runner's Series

Help us continue a new Peoria tradition.  Season 2 of the Peoria Runner's Series kicks off with the Father's Day 4 Mile Run at Rio Vista Park on Sunday, June 16.  Celebrate Dad with a morning run before settling in for his day of pampering.

The Peoria Runner's Series is a collection of 14 races that occur throughout the year.  Participants earn points for finishing and based on their overall placement.  At the end of the series the top 100 point earners are entered into a drawing to receive great prizes, including a trip to a national half marathon event.  In Season 1, Terry Jasper won an all expanse paid trip to the San Francisco Half Marathon!

Registration Now Open for Summer Adult Sport Leagues

Registration for the 2013 Summer Adult Sports Leagues are now open.  This summer we will be offering:

Registration for Basketball, Indoor Volleyball, and Flag Football are due by May 14.  Registration of Sand Volleyball are due June 11.  Open registraton for Adult Softball will open online on June 19.

Free Agent/Individual Registration Program

Want to play your favorite sport but don't have a team?  City of Peoria Sports is excited to announce our updated Free Agent program.  Instead of waiting on a list for a team to pick you up, individuals can now register themselves and we will place you on a team**.  Individual registrations are due by the sport registration deadline (see specific sport pages above for date).  Teams will be created a minimum of one (1) week before the start of the season.

Cost: $50/player  (exceptions: Sand Volleyball - $30).

There are three ways to register:

  1. Register/Pay Online Here
  2. Register by phone by calling 623-773-7137.
  3. Register in Person at the Development & Community Services Building at 9875 N. 85th Ave.
              * The Recreation Office is open Monday – Thursday from 7:00am – 6:00pm.

**Adult softball will have a Free Agent List, but teams will not be formed directly.  To be placed on the list at no cost, please see the Softball page of our website.
