Traffic Calming Measures are vertical deflections, horizontal shifts, or both, intended to reduce speeds and enhance the street environment for non-motorists. Traffic calming measures can also be partial closures or diverters intended to reduce cut-through traffic by prohibiting specific turning movements in on or more directions.
