The Peoria Sports Complex is home to the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners during spring training, and many other events throughout the year.

Fire Prevention, Code and Inspections 

Fire Code/Inspections, led by the Fire Marshal, and is referred to as the Fire Prevention. 

Fire Prevention handles fire plans reviews, fire code and inspection services to include both new and existing businesses. They also provide fire permit reviews and issue the permits for special events, tents and fire protection contractors. The division is also responsible for the investigation of fires to determine cause and origin and works closely with the Police Department on suspicious or arson related fires.

Within the Fire Prevention Division, there is a Community Services Division which is responsible for Community Education Programs, Car Seat Installations, Water Safety, Junior Fire Starter programs, Smoke Detectors, CPR, along with a myriad of other community involvement and education programs.
