The City of Peoria Public Works - Utilities Department activities touch the lives of Peoria citizens everyday. The Public Works - Utilities Department is comprised of a team of technical and administrative personnel dedicated to providing excellent service.
In 2009, the American Public Works Association (APWA) awarded full accreditation to the City of Peoria Public Works Department. This prestigious distinction was the result of many months of hard work and dedication from Public Works employees. The accreditation process requires the department to review its programs and procedures and ensure that they conform to Nationally-accepted best practices. The examination process is rigorous and time-consuming, but the benefits of ensuring excellent service delivery are worth the effort.
The Public Works - Utilities Department will continue to deliver quality services to Peoria residents by using the latest technology and in anticipating the needs of the future, assuring the people of the community a high quality of life.

About Public Works - Utilities
The Public Works - Utilities Division is responsible for maintaining and operating the city's water supply and infrastructure. The Public Works - Utilities Division is comprised of three sections: Environmental Resources, Water; and Wastewater.
Administration Office
The Administration Office is comprised of the Public Works - Utilities Director, Deputy Public Works - Utilities Director, Water Environmental Resources Manager, and staff and clerical support.
