 Chief Larry Rooney named President of the Arizona Fire Chief’s Association

August 12, 2008 -- Peoria, AZ – Peoria’s Interim Fire Chief, Larry Rooney was sworn in at the Presidential Banquet for the Arizona Fire Chief’s Association (AFCA) on Saturday August 2, 2008.   Rooney was installed as the incoming President during the AFCA’s Annual Leadership Conference held at the Renaissance Hotel in Glendale, Arizona.

Rooney, a 24 year veteran of the fire service has also served the organization the past three years as both the Vice-President and the 2nd Vice-President.

The AFCA serves as a resource to fire agencies across the state in supporting their efforts in protection of life and property through education and leadership development.
