Description
This project will construct
Vadose Zone Recharge Wells Nos. 1 and 2, which will recharge A+
quality effluent from the City of Peoria Jomax Water Reclamation
Facility (WRF) during periods of low demand within the reclaimed
water system. The primary components of the project include:

800 feet of 8” diameter DIP reclaimed water line.

12-foot wide compacted gravel access roadway through the site

Two 12-inch diameter injection wells approximately 150’ in depth.

Two below grade pre-cast concrete vaults with control and metering equipment.

One four-inch diameter monitoring well approximately 800-feet deep.

Project
Status:
Construction is underway. Recharge wells 1 and 2 have been
completed. The monitoring well has been completed.
On-going site work will continue in March. Electrical site
work and primary power will be installed in April.
Project completion is expected in May 2012.
