Loop 101 Traffic
Interchange (TI) Widening (P-0607)
Project
Description
This project
will widen Olive Avenue under the Loop 101 to three lanes in
each direction and increase the turning lanes to two lanes in
each direction. The embankments will be removed and
vertical walls will be constructed under the abutments.
The paving will line up with the new lanes that the City of
Peoria is constructing east of the Loop 101 at 91st Avenue and
Olive Avenue.

Project Status for
Summer 2009
Utility
relocations will occur in the later half of 2009. SRP
Irrigation facilities will be relocated during the January to
February 2010 dry-up period. A sound study has been
performed and during 2009, higher masonry walls to keep sound at
acceptable levels will be provided for residents along locations
noted in the report.
The widening project is
expected to be completed in summer of 2010.
