Valley Road Widening and Drainage Improvements
91st Avenue to 83rd Avenue
Project
Description
The City of Peoria (City) in cooperation with the Maricopa
Department of Transportation (MCDOT) are working to complete the
drainage and roadway improvements along Deer Valley Road between
91st Avenue and 83rd Avenue. The City will be constructing
drainage culverts under Deer Valley Road to convey storm runoff that
historically ponded along the north side of Deer Valley Road to the
existing channel along the south side of Deer Valley Road. The
roadway improvements consist of pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk,
streetlights and landscaping. Upon completion of the roadway
improvements, Deer Valley Road will accommodate 2 lanes in each
direction, a center two-way left turn lane and bike lanes.
