BEARDSLEY ROAD; 99TH AVENUE TO LAKE PLEASANT ROAD (PW00065)

Project Description
This project will improve the south half of Beardsley Road, from Lake Pleasant Road to 99th Avenue.  The completed segment of roadway will include two lanes in each direction, a two-way left-turn lane and bike lanes.  The project will also include the addition of streetlights, landscaping, sidewalk, pavement reconstruction and storm drain improvements.  The intersection will be widened to accommodate truck movements, since this is a designated a truck route.  The waterline was recently completed in advance of this roadway project.

Project Status
Construction began October 24, 2011, and is scheduled to take place through June 2012.  Combs Construction is primarily working on the south half of Beardsley Road from west of Lake Pleasant Road to 99th Avenue, traffic is shifted to the North to reduce conflicts with the construction equipment.

The intersection was closed the weekend of January 14-16 for the installation of storm drain, signals and sorm drain pipe protection.  There are two anticipated weekend closures scheduled for this project.  Additional notification will be made prior to the closures taking place.

The speed limit has been reduced to 25 mph and traffic is in one lane eastbound and westbound on Beardsley.  Please observe all posted traffic control and slow down in construction zones.
