83RD AVENUE STREET AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS (EN00313)

Project Description
This project will widen and/or reconstruct 83rd Avenue, from Butler Drive to Hatcher Road, to include two lanes in each direction, bike lanes and a raised landscaped median.  A raised landscape median will be constructed from Hatcher Road to Mountain View Road.  In addition, Butler Drive will be partially improved from 79th Avenue to 83rd Avenue to include a single lane in each direction.  Additional improvements to Butler Drive will be completed by future developers.  Waterline improvements are included along 83rd Avenue, from Butler Drive to Olive Avenue, and along Butler Drive.  This project will be coordinated with the planned City of Peoria Community Park No. 2, which will be located at the southeast corner of 83rd Avenue and Olive Avenue.  Finally, with this project, the City of Peoria  intends to annex this segment of 83rd Avenue (Las Palmeritas Drive to Olive Avenue), from the County (roadway right-of-way only) to the City.
