Project
Description
The Cities of Peoria and Glendale are cooperating to complete
the drainage, street and right-of-way improvements along 67th
Avenue, between Olive Avenue and Thunderbird Road. The City of
Glendale will be constructing 1) storm drain improvements on
67th Avenue, north of Peoria Avenue, 2) intersection widening
improvements at Olive Avenue, Cactus Road and Thunderbird Road
and 3) complete curb, gutter, sidewalk and paving improvements
(CO Glendale sidewalk improvements are restricted to the east
side only).
The City
of Peoria will be constructing the following improvements behind
the curb and gutter, along the west side of 67th Avenue 1) flood
irrigation improvements, 2) installation of streetlights and 3)
landscape and irrigation system improvements and 4) sidewalks.

Status
The City of Glendale is nearing completion of
construction of the project.
The project
is complete. The
follow-up project to overlay 67th Avenue with rubberized asphalt
will be in August, 2009.
