RESULTS ___________________________________ CONVENE: ROLL CALL: MINUTES: Discussion and possible action to approve minutes from March 6, 2007 regular meeting A motion was made by Jared Hummel to approve the minutes of the March 6, 2007, regular meeting. The motion was seconded by Derek Hughes and, upon vote, carried unanimously. DISPOSITION OF ABSENCE: Discussion and possible action to excuse the absences of; Alex Borton-work, Jarod Derrick-unknown, Monique Flaherty-unknown, Ricky Granison-unknown, Kristen Matheson-unknown, Kelly Quinn-work, Gilbert Romero-sick, Shelbie Staley-no ride, Jessica Hewitt-tennis from the Regular Meeting held on March 6, 2007. A motion was made by Brooke Ferguson not to excuse the member listed above for unknown reasons and to excuse those with reasons. The motion was seconded by Jared Hummel and, upon vote, carried unanimously. RATIFICATION OF PAST ACTION TAKEN IN VIOLATION OF THE OPEN MEETING LAW: Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.05, discussion and possible action to ratify the actions of the Youth Advisory Board that may have been taken in violation of the Open Meeting Law. A motion was made by Kelly Quinn to ratify past action taken in violation of the open meeting law on April 10, 2007, in the Pine Room. The motion was seconded by Derek Hughes and, upon vote, carried unanimously. These actions occurred on April 10, 2007 in the Pine Room and involved: Update and Discussion on Youth Government Day Committees: Discussed roles and the Mock Council items. Task schedule was handed out and reminded them to arrive no later that 6:45 a.m. Discussion on Board Participation in Annual Boards and Commission Recognition Dinner: Reminded all board members of the May 7, 2007, dinner to be held at Arizona Broadway Theatre and encouraged all to attend. Report and Presentation from Congressional City Conference, Washing DC: Aya Nameth, Julia Balber and Brooke Ferguson attended the conference. They gave a PowerPoint presentation. Presentation from Surprise Youth Advisory Board: The Surprise Board gave a PowerPoint presentation. Discussion on Recruitment of New Board Members: Reminded the board that we were losing 7 seniors this year; encourage friends to apply for open positions. The public may obtain a detailed written description of the actions to be ratified, and all deliberations, consultations, and decisions by members of the public body that preceded and relate to these actions to be ratified at City Hall, Pine Room at 6:30 p.m. at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. Update Teen Newsletter NEW BUSINESS: 1. Discuss and take possible action on Youth Advisory Board Attendance at City Council meetings. A motion was made by Brooke Ferguson for two Youth Advisory Board members to attend a monthly Council Meeting. The motion was seconded by Jane Wakefield and, upon vote, carried unanimously. 2. Discuss and take possible action on July 4th fundraiser event. A motion was made by Jared Hummel to participate and sell glow products at the July 4th event. The motion was seconded by Brooke Ferguson and, upon vote, carried unanimously. 3.
