A Regular Meeting of the Youth Advisory Board of the City of Peoria, 
Arizona was convened at 8866 W Thunderbird Road in open and public 
session at 6:09 p.m.

Members Present:  Aya Nameth, Mychal McCormick, Amy Andelin, Tyler 
Ashcroft, Robert Belanger, Julia Grose, Jared Hummel, Kristen Matheson, 
Maggie Matheson, Kelly Quinn, Gilbert Romero, Shelby Staley, and Jane 
Wakefield.

Members Absent: Jake Blevins-unknown, Anthony Durfey-unknown, Lili 
Fernandez-unknown, Anthony Harrington-unknown, Jessica Hewitt-
unknown, Chris Ramirez-unknown, , and Jane Wakefield-unknown. 

Municipal Officials Present: Kevin Naughton, Teen Supervisor, Jennifer 
Eccles, Senior Office Assistant

Audience:  0

MINUTES:  A motion was made by Mychal McCormick to approve the 
minutes of the March 11, 2008, regular meeting. The motion was 
seconded by Gilbert Romero and, upon vote, carried unanimously.

Disposition of Absence: Discussion and possible action to excuse the 
absences of: Aya Nameth-School Drama, Jake Blevins-unknown, Lili 
Fernandez-unknown, Jessica Hewitt-unknown, Jared Hummel-Baseball, 
Kristen Matheson-family event, Maggie Matheson-family event, Kelly 
Quinn-unknown, Chris Ramirez-unknown, and Jane Wakefield-Tennis 
from the March 11, 2008 meeting.

A motion was made by Mychal McCormick not to excuse the members 
listed above for unknown reasons and to excuse those with reasons.  The 
motion was seconded by Jared Hummel and, upon vote, carried 
unanimously.

OLD BUSINESS:

Discussion and update on Youth Government Day Committees

The board discussed the progress for each committee. Shirts were passed 
out. The board discussed the agenda for the Mock Council.


Discussion on Boards and Commissions Recognition Dinner

The Board was updated on the date, time, and location of the dinner.
