Cinnabar Avenue in open and public session in the Cinnabar South Conference Room at 5:10 p.m. ROLL CALL: MINUTES: Discussion and possible action to approve the meeting minutes of July 10, 2007. Minutes approved. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: 1. Discussion and possible action to approve sponsors along with the panel’s history for the Veteran Memorial Wall panels. Approved a motion to accept the application for sponsorship from the Northwest Valley Veterans Association while deferring on accepting the event. Approved a motion to accept the application for sponsorship from the Peoria Rotary Club for the American Red Cross. 2. Discussion and possible action to establish special plaque detail and events listing descriptions. Approved a motion to accept the following events: Lexington and Concord, Trenton, Saratoga, Valley Forge, USS Bonhommie Richard versus HMS Serapis, Yorktown and Chosin Reservoir. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Discussion and possible action to establish different classifications for absenteeism. Approved a motion to have a disposition of absences as a regular agenda item for each meeting. 2. Discussion and possible action to approve including, but not limited to, the subcommittees (programming, refreshments and invitations/communications) recommendations for the September 11th Veterans Memorial Ceremony. No action taken. 3. Discussion and possible action to approve programming for the November 10th Veterans Memorial Ribbon Cutting Event. Approved a motion to form three subcommittees (Program, Refreshments, and Communication) to coordinate the November 10th ceremony. 4. Discussion with staff on construction progress and issues pertaining to Veterans Memorial and Rio Vista Recreation Center. No action taken.
