Discussion and possible action of architectural planning for future design services. Carried over.

7R	SIGNAGE FOR THE VETERANS MEMORIAL WALL:
Discussion and possible action of signage featuring the Veterans Memorial Wall at the Rio Vista 
Recreation Center. Carried over.

8R	PLAQUE EVENTS:
Discussion and possible action to review the following plaque events: the War of 1812 (The USS 
Constitution and Fort McHenry), the Mexican-American War (Monterrey and Siege of Vera Cruz), the 
Civil War (Fort Sumter, Monitor and Merrimac, Shiloh, Antietam, Vicksburg, Grant’s Overland 
Campaign, Fall of Atlanta, and Appomattox), the Spanish-American War (Manila Bay and San 
Juan/Kettle Hills), World War I (Belleau Wood, Saint-Mihiel, and Meusa-Argonne) and the Gulf War 
(Desert Shield). Approved: Fort McHenry, Monterrey, Shiloh, and Antitetam.  Carried Over: USS

wish to address the Veterans Memorial Board, please complete a Speaker Request Form and return it 
to the clerk before the call to order for this meeting.  Boards and Commissions are not authorized by 
state law to discuss or take action on any issue raised by public comment until a later meeting.

Peoria resident, Bill Moore introduced himself to the board and volunteered to help bolster additional 
wall sponsorship.

Reports from Staff: Veterans Memorial Wall presentation is scheduled for 03/15/08 at the SCW 
Foundation Building, Sun City West.
Reports from Committee: The next Veterans Memorial Board Meeting is scheduled for 04/08/08.
