CITY OF PEORIA, ARIZONA COUNCIL CHAMBER FEBRUARY 6, 2007 A Regular Meeting of the Council Not-for-Profit Sub-Committee for the City of Peoria, Arizona, was convened by Chairman Barrett in open and public session at 8401 West Monroe, Peoria, Arizona, February 6, 2007 at 8:30 a.m. Members Present: Chair Bob Barrett; Members Vicki Hunt, Ron Aames and Ken Compton Members Absent: None Others Present: Bill Patena (Neighborhood Services Manager) and Carin Imig (Management Analyst) Audience: None Comments from the floor on non-agenda items: There were no comments from the floor on non-agenda items. Minutes: None. REGULAR AGENDA NEW BUSINESS: Proposal Hearings – see attached presentation schedule. Discussion ensued regarding the necessity of all grant applicants appearing before the committee annually for programs that are identical to those previously funded. Committee Action: Funding recommendations for FY08 were prepared and will be presented to the Council during the upcoming budget hearings. See attached. Also, the committee unanimously agreed that only applicants that are either new to the funding process, are changing their program request or are experiencing issues that require personal discussion will be required to appear before the committee at hearings. The intent will be to have hearings for approximately one half day for FY09 and base funding decisions on a combination of information on the applications and proposals made before the committee.
