A Special Meeting of the Council Sub-Committee for Evaluations of Municipal Judge 
and City Attorney, of the City of Peoria, Arizona was convened at 8401 W. Monroe 
Street in open session at 10:30 a.m.

Members Present:	Vicki Hunt, Vice Mayor (Chair) Ron Aames, Council Member

Members Absent:  	Joan Evans, Council Member (Excused: out of town)

Other Municipal Officials Present:  Greg A. Eckman, Human Resources Director
Dee Campbell, Executive Assistant	

Minutes:  

Council Member Ron Aames moved to approve the minutes of June 6, 2006 as presented.  
Motion seconded by Chair Vicki Hunt and carried unanimously.

New Business:

Sub-Committee Chair Vicki Hunt led a discussion about the process and timeline for the 
evaluation of the Charter Officials: Municipal Judge and City Attorney.  A discussion was 
held to clarify the sub-committee members’ roles and responsibilities during the 
evaluation process.  The role and responsibilities of the Human Resources Department 
support staff were also discussed.  Greg Eckman will meet with the Municipal Judge to 
discuss any potential changes in the Municipal Judge’s contract and will report to the 
sub-committee at the next meeting.  In addition, Human Resources support staff is 
responsible for sending the documents to the Council for their evaluation of the Charter 
Officials. Two more meetings will be held during this process; the next sub-committee 
meeting will be to discuss the evaluations received from the Council Members and the 
second sub-committee meeting will be to meet with the Municipal Judge and City 
Attorney, respectively.
