There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Commissioner or citizen so requests; in which event the item will be removed from the General Order of Business, and considered in its normal sequence on the Agenda. *Minutes Approve the minutes from the August 1, 2007 meeting. *DISPOSITION OF ABSENCE: Approve the absences of Commissioners Priscilla Cook and Harold McKisson from the August 1, 2007 Meeting. NEW BUSINESS 1. Presentation by Steve Kemp, Peoria City Attorney, regarding Open Meeting Laws. 2. Discussion with Legal Counsel regarding the powers and duties of city advisory boards including but not limited to: a. Responsibilities of other boards and commissions. b. Direction of staff. c. Board relationships with City Council. d. Legal Authority for Historic Preservation and policy decisions. e. Staff report and recommendation with regard to the unnoticed vote made August 1, 2007, to require City staff to report to Commission within 30 days regarding design guidelines for the proposed façade program of the City’s Economic Development department. 3. Discussion and possible ratification of unnoticed vote made August 1, 2007, to approve minutes of October 11, 2006.
