Discussion and Approval of Research Design for Proposed Archaeological Demonstration Dig at the Peoria Women’s Club Overview of Research Design by Mark Hackbarth, followed by Commission and public discussion, then a request for Commission approval. Item 2: Approved Research Design 5-0; Motion by Nelson, 2nd by Schindler. COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS: None REPORT FROM THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION This item is to allow the Historic Preservation Commission an opportunity to provide a report on Commission subcommittees, provide staff with direction on agenda items, and make a request for staff information. Chairwoman Cook read excerpts from minutes of past Women’s Club meetings. No action necessary. REPORT FROM STAFF Chad Daines provided an update regarding formation of the Madison Street Historic District, and Karen Flores provided an overview of preparations for the archaeological dig at the Women’s Club.
