CITY OF PEORIA, ARIZONA

A scheduled meeting of the Public Safety Retirement Board, representing Police employees 
of the City of Peoria, Arizona was convened at 8401 W. Monroe Street in open and public 
session at 4:30 p.m.  

Members Present:  	David Block, Member
	Ken Gentry, Member			 
	Alexander Obis, Member
	Richard Scrivens, Member

Members Absent:	Mayor Bob Barrett, Chairman (Excused Absence, at a conference)

Staff Present:  	Jackie Peterson, Labor Relations Manager
			Nancy Fantasia, Human Resources Analyst
       Dee Campbell, Executive Assistant

Others Present:  	None 
	
Call to the Public:	There being no public present, Chairman Keegan called for the first 
       agenda item.

Note:  The order in which items appear in the minutes is not necessarily the order in 
which they were discussed at the meeting.
       
Minutes:

Richard Scrivens moved to approve the minutes of May 30, 2007, as presented.  Motion was 
seconded by David Block and carried unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS:

Mr. Alexander Obis was welcomed as the board’s newest member.

Application for Retirement:	 

Jackie Peterson, Acting Chair, advised the Board that Nicholas P. Piccirello submitted 
retirement paperwork to be effective August 26, 2007.  After members reviewed the submitted 
material, Acting Chair Jackie Peterson called for approval of the retirement paperwork. 

Richard Scrivens moved to accept the application for retirement.  Motion seconded by  Ken 
Gentry and carried unanimously.  Alexander Obis moved to accept the effective date of August 
26, 2007.  Motion seconded by David Block and carried unanimously.  



Adjournment:

Being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was duly recessed at 4:33 
p.m.
